10:40 a.m. update:
Flooding has canceled classes scheduled for Fox Valley Technical College's S.J. Spanbauer Center in Oshkosh. It has also canceled classes scheduled for the lower levels and first floor lecture halls at UW-Oshkosh's Halsey Science Center. Three lecture halls are closed in that building. All other first floor classes are a go.
10:30 a.m. update:
Drivers in Oshkosh are asked to avoid flooded streets and travel only if absolutely necessary. People headed out onto the roads are asked to be aware of crews that may be working in streets or flooded areas.
Officials also ask people not to call 911 to report flooding unless appliances are under water. Do not try to go into basements.
To report street flooding, minor basement flooding or sewer backup issues in Oshkosh, call (920) 236-5172.
The Red Cross also has clean-up kits available at its office at 515 S. Washburn St.
8:30 a.m. update:
Highway 41 north from Highway 26 to Highway Z is back open, but southbound in that area is still closed.
8:15 a.m. update
Highway 21 in Omro, which is in Winnebago County, has reopened. It was shutdown for hours due to high water.

6:00 a.m. update
Parts of Highway 114 remain closed in Calumet County. However, officials reopened a portion of the highway in Hilbert after the waters receded.

5:30 a.m. update:
The flash flood warnings have been extended. Winnebago County is now under a warning until 8 a.m.
Manitowoc and Calumet County are under a warning until 9 a.m.

5 a.m. update:
The flooding is causing problems across the area. Winnebago county officials just called us, they want everyone to know Highway 41, both south and northbound lanes are shut down between Highway 26 and County Highway Z, which is the Fond du Lac county line.
They are asking people to avoid the area.

The storms are causing flash flooding in the city of Oshkosh. The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department says the flooding is beginning to affect Highway 41 near the Butte des Morts Bridge and Witzel Avenue.
Some streets on the North side of Oshkosh are also closing because of high water.
The National Weather Service says some areas have already seen 2" of rain.
Winnebago County is under a flash flood warning until 5 a.m.
Calumet and Manitowoc counties are under a flash flood warning until 6 a.m.
The National Weather Service says excessive runoff from this storm will cause significant flooding of small creeks, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses, as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
The NWS advises: Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. This is a dangerous situation, so motorists should use extreme caution.
Report flooding to the nearest law enforcement agency so they may take appropriate action to close flooded roadways. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service in Green Bay.

As of 3 a.m. Thursday, Highway 21 in Omro is closed because of flooding. The Wisconsin State Patrol says people can exit at Harrison Avenue to Scott Street to Industrial Drive to Highway 21, reverse if headed west.

We talked to Calumet County officials at 3:30 a.m. Thursday. They tell us many areas in Brillion, Stockbridge, Hilbert and Chilton are flooded. Officials are asking people to be careful when traveling on Highway 57. The south/southeast part of the county is ok.
