Forecasting tools are indicating a possible winter storm for Wisconsin, but it's still 7 days away!
The storm is currently located in the western Pacific Ocean. There are very few observations available in the Pacific Ocean, so forecasting the exact track and intensity 6 to 7 days ahead of time is very tricky.
What has caught the meteorologists' eyes at FOX 11 is that many computer models agree on a winter storm hitting Wisconsin next Thursday or Friday. If the current forecast does not change, then we could see major winter storm with 6-12 inches (or more) of snow with blizzard conditions.
Don't change your plans just yet, we'll have a much better idea of the storm track next week (Tuesday, Feb 18th or Wednesday, Feb 19th). Stay tuned!
