The attack of the Texas tumbleweeds!

House taken over by wind-blown tumbleweeds

MIDLAND, Texas (CNN/KWES) - People in Midland, Texas, were a bit surprised by what the wind blew in after tumbleweeds nearly covered a home.

You can see the weeds piled up along the house, on top and even crammed in the backyard.

Homeowner Josh Pitman was a bit lost for words when he first saw it.

"A text message with the picture of the entire left side of our house here, and it's just completely covered with tumbleweeds -- most ridiculous thing I've ever seen," said Pitman.

He says he recently tore down a fence in his front yard that probably would have protected his home from the tumbleweed attack.

Pitman expects to spend the rest of the week cleaning up the mess.
