AUSTIN (KXAN) - For a lot of women, it can be hard to lose that extra bit of weight around the midsection after having a baby.
"No matter what you do, you can't get rid of that extra bulge," said Jessica Sanders, mother of two.
After having two kids, Sanders tried diet and exercise to get rid of that extra pinch of fat, but nothing worked.
Now, she's trying a new procedure at Westlake Dermatology that doctors said freezes the fat away. It's called CoolSculpting .
The machine sucks in the problem area and freezes it down to 38 degrees. That decreases the fat cell by 25 percent.
"It kills the entire cell membrane and the contents in the cell, but it's noninvasive," said Registered Nurse Kelly Wala, with Westlake Dermatology. "It's a procedure you don't need to have surgery."
Clinical trials showed results within 60 days, and there's no down time from work.
The procedure is limited to the abs, thighs and buttocks. The cost is anywhwere between $600 and $1,500.
