BENTON, La. (AP) - Northwest Louisiana sheriffs say someone is sending sex videos to churches.
Bossier Parish Sheriff Larry Deen and Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator sent photos of packets received so far to news outlets Thursday, hoping that any others get turned over to deputies still sealed.
Deen's spokesman, Ed Baswell, says nine churches — in multiple denominations — have received them. Two are in Bossier Parish and seven in Caddo Parish.
Baswell says a long "narrative" implies that the sender is crusading against pornography, but that's not really clear. A short printed letter says the packages are being sent anonymously to every church in the area.
Baswell doesn't know whether all were sent from the same post office. He says postal investigators are working with Caddo and Bossier parish deputies.
