CHILTON - Sweet Haven Ranch in Chilton is reaching out to those affected by the devastating floods in Colorado.
Sweet Haven Ranch -- a not-for-profit horse rescue -- is teaming up with two other organizations to gather large collections of hay and supplies and transport them to Colorado to help with the relief efforts.
Donations will be taken to the Colorado Horsecare Foodbank in Evergreen, Colorado on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Sweet Haven Ranch representatives explained the need further in a press release sent on Sept. 19:
"The Foodbank is currently nearly out of hay and has an extensive network of ranchers who are desperate for assistance to feed their horses, goats, sheep, cows and other livestock."
