ASHWAUBENON - This weekend pitchers and catchers in junior high, high school, and college will be able to experience an All-Star Clinic hosted by West De Pere native, Jason Berken.
All-Star Pitching and Catching Clinic will be held on Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7 at the Ashwaubenon High School Fieldhouse.
At the clinic people will get eight hours of professional instruction from Berken, his bullpen catcher Ronnie Deck, and other major and minor league players along with local high school and college coaches.
Berken graduated from West De Pere High School and was named all-area, all-conference, and all-state as a senior in baseball, basketball and football.
Berken brings 17-years of baseball experience to the All-Star Clinic. In 2006, Berken was drafted in the 6th round to the Baltimore Orioles.
He has been with the organization for four years and at the major league level for two years. Berken had 24 starts in the 2009 season but was converted to the bullpen this past year.
The clinic times are from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. People were still able to sign up for the clinic. To learn more about the All-Star Clinic and if you would like to register click here .
