ASHWAUBENON - This Memorial day, CrossFit Vanguard will be hosting their first ever Memorial Day Murph fundraiser.
Memorial Day Murph is an annual internet-based fundraiser for military charities.
It's based on a CrossFit workout called "Murph," named after Medal of Honor recipient Michael Murphy. Navy Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, age 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., was killed in Afghanistan on June 28th 2005.
The idea is to honor ALL of our fallen military members with a challenging workout.
Anyone can take part in the workout!
The event will take place in the morning on Memorial Day. There will be three different heats that will run at 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, and 11:00 AM.
