1 1/4 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter, melted plus extra for cooking pancakes
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup cocoa
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup chocolate chips (we used mini)
Fresh berries (optional)
Whisk together flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Set aside. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and milk until light and foamy. Stir in melted butter. Add in flour mixture and mix until just blended. Fold in chocolate chips. Melt some butter in a non-stick pan or on a griddle.
Drop batter into pan or on griddle. Cook until bubbles start to form. Flip and cook another 1-2 minutes. Great served with whipped cream and berries on top.
