1 box (18.25 ounces) devil's food cake mix
1 box (2.4 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Vanilla Frosting or chocolate frosting
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat together the first 6 ingredients together until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Line muffin tins with cupcake liners. Scoop batter into muffin cups about 2/3 full. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Frost cupcakes. Makes about 24 cupcakes. Note: For graduation parties, top each cupcake with an unwrapped mini peanut butter cup. Place a chocolate covered graham cookie or chocolate square on top. Secure a mini M & M on top and use licorice or another thin strip candy to make it look like the graduation cap and tassle.
