2 pounds ground beef
1 cup finely diced onion
1 cup chopped green pepper, divided
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons dried oregano, divided
1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
1 can (10-3/4 ounces)cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
8 to 10 ounces rotini pasta, cooked al dente
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
8 to 10 slices pepperoni
2 tablespoons sliced black olives (optional)
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and 3/4 cup green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and crumbly. Drain any grease. Season with garlic salt and 1 teaspoon of oregano. Add pizza sauce, soup, an water. Bring to a boil and simmer a few minutes. Turn down heat a bit and stir in Parmesan cheese and pasta. Stir well to mix. Sprinkle top with mozzarella cheese. Top with sliced pepperoni, remaining green peppers, olives, and mushrooms. Cover skillet for a minute or two to melt cheese.
