GREEN BAY - Green Bay police continue to investigate a chase that injured two officers Saturday morning.
Authorities say officers tried to stop a vehicle on suspicion of drunk driving and dangerous driving in the 800 block of Shawano Avenue just after 2:50 a.m.
The driver, a 33-year-old Howard man, tried to flee, and officers chased the vehicle.
Offiicials say two police cars crashed at Oneida and Reed streets during the pursuit. The two officers involved in the crash were taken to a local hospital, treated for their injuries and released.
Meanwhile, authorities say the man continued to flee and was driving extremely dangerously, which led to Ashwaubenon authorities joining in on the chase. The 33-year-old led that pursuit back into Green Bay where Green Bay police arrested him.
The man was arrested on various charges including operating while intoxicated and knowingly fleeing an officer. In addition, he faces a number of traffic citations.
