APPLETON - Children in the Fox Valley had the chance to learn about Cinco de Mayo Sunday.
Kids and families stopped at the Building for Kids in Appleton to learn what the holiday is about.
They also had the chance to learn more about Mexican culture. There were fun crafts, like pinata making. Kids also learned a few Spanish words and listened to a story in both Spanish and English.
Museum educators say its important to teach children about other cultures.
"It gives them a wide world of culture, words and different things, different foods that they could eat also. And for the younger kids to learn another language is very important," said Rosie Hoeffner with the Building for Kids.
The kids also had the chance to explore one of the museum's newest exhibits: the Wild Safari Adventure.
