OSHKOSH - The Experimental Aircraft Association is looking for some relief from a half a million dollar bill from the government.
The EAA announced Wednesday it is petitioning a federal appeals court to stop the payment to the FAA.
The money is to pay for dozens of air traffic controllers during this year's AirVenture.
The FAA previously covered the costs, but the agency charged its policy this year due to federal budget cuts.
The FAA has yet to respond to the EAA's petition.
This year's fly-in begins on July 29.
