APPLETON - A memorial honoring fallen soldiers was on display in Appleton today.
"Remembering Our Fallen" honors soldiers who died in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Among them -- Private Rachel Bosveld, of Waupun.
Bosveld was the first female from Wisconsin to be killed in the Iraq War.
Bosveld's mother says it's important to remember all who made the ultimate sacrifice.
"The purpose of this is really to honor all the veterans, but mostly to keep the memory of our soldiers alive in different ways," said Mary Bosveld.
Proceeds from the event will benefit music scholarships and veteran families in the Fox Valley.
