GREENVILLE - The Fox Valley Humane Association is seeking donations to add more cat housing.
The shelter is looking to raise $6,000 by May 1.
FVHA experiences a large influx of cats, pregnant cats, and kittens in the spring and summer months.
In order to further prevent the spread of disease among the shelter's cats, FVHA plans to create an additional holding room for unvaccinated surrendered cats upon their arrival.
"In order to continue placing 100% of adoptable cats into new homes, the prevention of disease is absolutely vital," said Deb Lewis, executive director in a release. "We have the enormous responsibility of keeping hundreds of cats healthy throughout our upcoming busy season, and the addition of more cat housing units will save the lives of many more cats."
Donations can be made online at foxvalleypets.org. They can also be mailed to:

Donations can also be dropped off at the shelter. Community members are asked to specify the donation is for cat housing.
