GRAND CHUTE - Fox Valley Technical College officially opened its new culinary theater.
The dedication and ribbon cutting event was held Wednesday, even though it's been open to students since January.
The theater is named after the Jones Dairy Farm, which is paying for half of the project. Fox Valley Tech will raise the rest.
The theater seats 126 for live cooking demonstrations.
"It's like teaching in Disney Land. It's a wonderful facility, it has beautiful acoustics, the sound, and the sight lines are absolutely perfect. I link it to Lambeau Field, where there's not a bad seat in the house," said Jeff Igel, FVTC culinary instructor.
The theater is also equipped with digital cameras and TV monitors, to record and broadcast presentations.
