GRAND CHUTE - Fox Valley Technical College is ready to start work on its Student Success Center.
Tuesday, student government representatives gave a short interactive presentation.
The Student Success Center is one of the seven projects in the $66.5 million facility expansion plan approved in a public referendum.
The center will provide extra study space, computer labs, and lounge areas.
"When we set out to design this space, we were really looking for a space that mimicked the modern work place, a place where students and faculty could congregate openly, float back and forth between spaces and not put themselves behind walls. We really want the learning to occur organically between faculty staff and students wherever they decide to gather," said Chris Matheny, vice president of instructional services.
Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2014.
