NEW LONDON - A New London crossing guard was injured while on the job.
Officials say Sally Tschurwald was hit by a vehicle Monday. She was at the intersection of Beacon Avenue and Lawrence Street when she was hit.
Officials say she was wearing a florescent yellow reflective traffic vest and was placing the crosswalk sign in the intersection when the accident happened.
Tschurwald is expected to recover.
