OSHKOSH - The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department dive team, using boats and scent dogs, pulled the body of a man out of the river around three o'clock.
The dive team found the body in the 38 degree water about 30 yards off shore.
"At this time positive identification has not been confirmed," said Captain Todd Christie of the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department.
The man was seen falling through the ice around two o-clock Sunday morning by a security guard at a nearby manufacturing plant.
Sunday night the Oshkosh Police department took a missing persons report for Michael Philbin, son of Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin.
Oshkosh police say Philbin was in Oshkosh this weekend visiting friends at UW-Oshkosh.
"About two a.m. Sunday was the last time someone had talked to him on the phone and at that time they did not know where he was at and that was the last time someone talked to him," said Officer Joe Nichols of the Oshkosh Police Department.
Philbin is a student at Ripon College. Officials there say he is a junior and is registered to take classes beginning next week. Philbin made the Dean's list his first two years at the school. That means he had a grade point average of at least three-point-four.
The Packers said Coach Philbin was in Oshkosh today. General Manager Ted Thompson also released a statement today saying the team is "Aware of the missing person report regarding Michael Philbin, son of offensive coordinator Joe Philbin. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Philbin family during this difficult time."
The Oshkosh Police Department and the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department say they are working closely, but are conducting separate investigations.
"We will have some final stuff to put together, but anything regarding the missing person will be handled by the Oshkosh police department," Said Christie.
