WAUTOMA - A Wautoma man is now charged in connection with a murder at a motel.
Travis Petersen, 42, faces one count of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Robert Kasun.
The 50-year-old Kasun's body was found March 6 in a room at the Mt. Morris Motel.
Petersen appeared in court through video Wednesday. Bond was set at $250,000 cash.
Petersen told investigators he and Kasun had been drinking together the afternoon of Kasun's death, but he claims left because he got a phone call.
According to the criminal complaint, other motel residents heard a possible argument coming from Kasun's room.
Petersen is scheduled to return to court next Friday.
