KAUKAUNA - Kaukauna school district officials say an alleged bullying incident that spurred a viral Facebook post has been resolved.
Superintendent Mark Duerwaechter told the school board Monday night the incident involving Matthew Bent's son was bullying, and the bullies have been held accountable for their actions.
Duerwaechter also told the board the district will improve its communications and anti-bullying initiatives.
Bent brought global attention to the situation, after posting about it on Facebook. Bent claimed his son was body-slammed several times during a gym class.
Kaukauna police said they investigated the situation and decided they would not recommend any criminal charges.

Bent said he had not heard the superintendent's comments, and didn't have any more to say.
