OSHKOSH--Area athletes put themselves through a real endurance test Saturday by taking part in the Tough Mudder obstacle course in Oshkosh.
Participants in the "Tough Mudder" do a lot more that just run. The obstacles, including mud, test their strength and endurance.
The 12-mile course is set up temporarily on the EAA AirVenture grounds.
Saturday was day one of the two day event. Participants can still sign up on site for Sunday.
Money raised goes to the Wounded Warrier Project.
To date more than one million people have taken part in Tough Mudder runs worldwide raising more than $5-million for the cause.
