TOWN OF MENASHA - The town of Menasha honored one of its own Monday night.
At the town board meeting, police officer Michael Weinberger was singled out.
Officials say his actions at the scene of a house fire, likely saved a life.
In July, 2013, Weinberger was one of the crew responding to a house fire on Southwood Drive.
Weinberger went into the home and found a woman in a wheelchair.
He was able to rescue her as oxygen tanks started to explode.
Officials say things could have turned out much worse if Weinberger wasn't there.
