WAUPACA - An area Kraft Foods cheese plant that was set to close April 26th is still running.
FOX 11 received a question from a viewer about why the Waupaca plant is still open.
Operations were supposed to be shifted to other plants.
But Kraft says the equipment at another plant wasn't ready yet.
So, the Waupaca location has been continuing small-scale production.
Officials say it has been staffed with some former employees and temporary workers.
The company says to expect the plant's full shutdown within two weeks.
A survey of local businesses looked at employee numbers and overall outlook for the coming year.
