TOWN OF NEKIMI - An 80-year-old Oshkosh man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Winnebago County Saturday evening.
The crash happened at County Highway I and County Highway N in the Town of Nekimi just after 5 p.m.
Officials say 57-year-old William Doemel from Oshkosh was driving southbound on Highway I when his vehicle collided head on with a vehicle driven by 80-year-old Robert Zentner of Oshkosh.
Zentner died as a result of his injuries, while Doemel and Zentner's passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Doemel received a citation for operating while under the influence, second offense. Authorities say the charges may be added to or amended in the future.
Highway I was closed from about 5 to 9:30 p.m. for cleanup and reconstruction.
