TOWN OF FOREST – One person was killed and another injured in a Fond du Lac County crash Wednesday morning.
It happened around 5:30 a.m. on Highway 23 east of 7 Hills Rd. in the Town of Forest.
Sheriff’s officials say the driver killed, a 53-year-old Fond du Lac woman, was trying to avoid a car passing multiple vehicles. That caused the victim to lose control of her vehicle and hit a car driven by a 41-year-old St. Cloud man. He suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the passing vehicle, a 51-year-old woman who recently moved to Plymouth from Texas, was arrested. She is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail with sheriff’s officials requesting a charge of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle.
Anyone who may have witnessed this crash is asked to call the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office at (920) 906-4777 mailbox number 1. Leave your information and a deputy will call you back.
