UPDATE: One of the suspects, 47-year-old Anne D. Verdiguel, has been formally charged in the case.
GREEN BAY – Green Bay police say some alert Broadway District shop owners helped captured two theft suspects.
Wednesday afternoon, police were notified about two suspicious people who were allegedly stealing items from businesses.
Police were able to quickly track down the man and woman. They were arrested after a short foot chase.
Police recovered various items including jewelry, purses and clothing. The items were returned to the stores.
The suspects are being held in the Brown County Jail. Police are recommending retail theft charges.
