BELLEVUE - There's a new place to shop in the Green Bay area.
Costco opened Thursday morning in Bellevue just north of Highway 172, between Monroe Road and Lime Kiln Road.
It's the first Costco in Northeast Wisconsin and the fifth in the state. Other stores are in the Milwaukee and Madison areas.
Store managers say they had considered building in the area for some time.
"You know there's a lot of things that go into getting a location and into a community, but the timing was right and the Village of Bellevue has been fantastic and we're really excited to be here now,” said Jeremy Deshazer, general manager.
Costco requires a membership to shop. A household membership is $55 a year.
