DE PERE - A Saint Norbert student, killed in a vehicle crash in 2007, received special recognition Wednesday afternoon.
A dedication ceremony was held at Saint Norbert College for the Cassandra Voss Center.
The renamed former Lutheran Church, built 130 years ago, will house, among other programs, the women's and gender studies program.
The college says Voss was on track to become the first Saint Norbert graduate from that program when she died.
Her father says she dreamed about having a special space dedicated to all gender-related programs.
"This is a fulfillment of a lot of dreams, not only of my daughter's but of a lot of people who surrounded her including me," said Cassandra's father, Kurt Voss.
Saint Norbert says the $2 million renovation ranks among the largest for gender programming at a college or university.
