ASHWAUBENON - Some area firefighters traded in their boots for ice skates Saturday.
It's part of the "Fire on Ice" hockey tournament.
The 4th annual event took place at the Cornerstone Ice Center in Ashwaubenon.
Four teams took to the ice, including firefighters from Madison, the Fox Valley and Green Bay.
Organizers said it's not just about winning, it's also about working together.
"It's just some really great competition, and the camaraderie within the firefighters themselves is just great. We enjoy it, we have fun together and it's just a blast," said Capt. Rich Annen with the De Pere Fire Dept.
The tournament continues through Sunday and starts at 10 a.m.
