GREEN BAY - A woman charged with welfare fraud for allegedly buying QUEST Cards from her bar's customers for cash made her first court appearance Thursday.
Sue Long faces two felony and 13 misdemeanor counts for allegations concerning her former Green Bay tavern, the Billy Goats Pub.
Long was released on a signature bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 24. Also, her attorney filed a motion seeking to have one of the felony charges dismissed.
Two others were also charged. Bartender and manager Jodie Hanback is scheduled to make her first court appearance Friday. Former bartender Victoria Cannon makes her first court appearance Tuesday.
The city was planning to use the fraud allegations to revoke Billy Goats liquor license, but Long surrendered the license.
