GREEN BAY - Relief from the heat was needed at a downtown Green Bay event Thursday.
A misting systems company was called to Summer in the Park at Jackson Square.
The 484th Army Band in full uniform was playing for spectators.
They took advantage of the misting systems, along with the crowd who said that otherwise it was simply too hot.
"I like the heat, but this is a little much. Three days of over 90 is a little much," said Peggy Crabb of Green Bay.
Brown County opened a cooling shelter Thursday. It's at the Brown County Health Department on South Broadway, and was open 12:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Nurses and Red Cross aides are there to help.
Forty counties across Wisconsin also had cooling centers open on Thursday.
