GREEN BAY - An area big box retailer is looking to change the way you shop.
Sam's Club in Green Bay is the first in the country to test out a new "Scan & Go" app.
Here's how it works: shoppers scan items as they put them in their cart. Those items are loaded into the app. Then at the check-out, the clerk downloads the list from the phone, to the register.
"Scan-and-go is currently a test that we are investing into expedite the member experience and exceed our members' expectations," said Michael Barney, General Manager of the Sam's Club in Green Bay.
Store officials say customers can also track spending as they go with the app.
It works with iPhone and Android phones.
