GREEN BAY - With the Packers away for three weeks straight, Lambeau Field on a Sunday is pretty quiet.
Many of the fans have taken their jerseys and their Cheeseheads and they've packed them up, ready to hit the road with the Pack.
"Pittsburgh and Green Bay travel the most," said John Schmidt, who runs Schmitty's Tickets in Combined Locks.
Schmidt said sales for Packers away games are slightly up this year.
However, some games aren't sold out yet.
"We have quite a few left for the Vikings and the Rams, but Houston's a tough ticket," he said, adding that the Vikings and Rams games were going for under $100 a piece.
For fans looking to take a road trip for an away game, this week's Sunday game at Indianapolis would have only taken around seven hours.
And two weeks from now you'll only have to spend eight hours in a car heading to St. Louis.
"October 21st, we're going to see them in St. Louis, the wife and I. We saw them in Seattle three years ago," said Mike Oechsner.
Oechsner and his wife Sherry took in Sunday's Packers-Colts game at Stadium View Bar in Ashwaubenon.
But they say every few years they get away from the big screens, and see the Packers live in a different city.
This year they're choosing convenience by going to see the team play the Rams.
"It's something close," he said. "And in fact, we're going by bus from here."
For fans looking to take in next week's game in Houston, it's 22 hours to drive there from Green Bay.
Many people may be hopping a flight. But airfare may not be the most expensive part of your trip.
"They start at about $265," Schmidt said about tickets for the game against the Texans. "For an away game, that's pretty expensive, but Houston's a pretty good team."
Ticket brokers say they actually do better with ticket sales when teams aren't doing as well. More people are selling their tickets, and the prices aren't as high.
A handful of fans tailgated at Lambeau Sunday despite the team's absence.
They said they'd take a larger vacation for an away game.
"We don't have too many warm weather games here in Green Bay," said Donna Biebel. "So my dream away game would probably be somewhere warm."
Packers fans said no matter how far they roam, the best place to catch the Pack is always right here at home.
