GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Police Department's SWAT team responded to a domestic incident on the city's west side Sunday night.
Officers were called to a home in the 700 block of Elmore Street just after 11 p.m. Sunday. A 21-year-old man at the residence refused to leave and armed himself with several weapons. He threatened suicide if officers approached him.
During the incident, police blocked off two blocks of Elmore Street between North Ashland Avenue and North Norwood Avenue.
Officers negotiated with the man by phone and armored vehicle for nearly two hours before the man came to the front porch. Officers used a Taser and took the man into custody. The man and an officer suffered minor injuries.
Officials say charges of disorderly conduct, battery and resisting arrest are being referred to the Brown County District Attorney's Office.
