ASHWAUBENON - Some of the nation's top curlers took to the ice Saturday in Ashwaubenon.
The week-long event kicked off at the Cornerstone Community Ice Center.
It's all part of the 2013 USA Curling National Championships.
Ten women's teams and 10 men's teams are part of the competition.
Organizers said this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for those looking to reach the Olympic level.
"Two teams from each division will advance to our Olympic trials in November in Fargo, North Dakota. So this is the team's last opportunity to get into the Olympic trials, so very big deal for all of them, it's their last chance to keep their Olympic dream alive, said organizer Bill Rhyme.
The top four teams will head into the playoffs.
The competition wraps up next Saturday.
