STURGEON BAY - The Illinois man charged with murdering a woman and her unborn child in Door County was back in court Thursday.
Brian Cooper's trial is scheduled to start April 8.
The jury will come from outside the county, but the trial will be held in Sturgeon Bay.
Cooper has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease to strangling Alisha Bromfield last August at a resort.
Authorities say the two were in Door County for a wedding, and Bromfield allegedly told Cooper she wanted to break off their relationship.
A judge ruled Cooper's statements are admissible at trial, along with a 911 call he made to authorities.
