TOWN OF STEPHENSON - Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Country Convenience Store near County Road X and Deer Lake Road around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Police say a male suspect entered the Country Convenience Store, showed a handgun and asked the employee for all of the money. The suspect then fled on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
Deputies and K-9 officers were unable to track down the suspect. They did conclude that after fleeing the scene on foot, he left in a vehicle. There is no description of that vehicle at this time.
Police are describing the white male suspect as 6' tall, weighing about 190-210 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a baseball hat with a red bandana covering his face, a dark long sleeve shirt, gloves and jeans.
No one was injured in the incident.
