MARINETTE - A memorial service has been set for Tyler Walk, who was fatally shot in the town of Pound on Monday.
Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, with the service following at 2 p.m., at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home in Marinette.
A memorial fund has also been set up at Stephenson National Bank & Trust, 1820 Hall Avenue, Marinette, WI 54143 under "Tyler Walk Memorial Fund."
The 26-year-old Walk died after a strange series of incidents in the area of his family's cabin. Sheriff's officials say he called 911 from the property to report a man with a gun. Minutes later, officials say Walk crashed his truck into a nearby house. Walk, who had been shot, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The man with the gun was eventually shot and killed by officers after he pointed a gun at them that same night. He was identified as Manfred Eisenheim, 76. Family members told authorities Eisenheim had mental issues.
