RICHFIELD (AP) - Icy roads are blamed for a collision in Washington County thatkilled a Richfield man, his 9-year-old son, a 12-year-old girl andinjured four others.
Authorities say 42-year-old Karl Ziebart was driving an SUV thatwas hit by a 1-ton flatbed truck on Highway 164 in the village ofRichfield Sunday morning.
Ziebart, his son Luke and the girl from another family werepronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Ziebart's wife, Denise,the couple's two other children and the 12-year-old girl's11-year-old brother were seriously injured.
Three men who were in the truck were not hurt. They are in theWashington County Jail on an Immigration & NaturalizationService hold.
Family members say the Ziebarts were on their way to VictoryInternational Fellowship in Brookfield when the crash occurred.
