TOWN OF CRANMOOR - Wisconsin is the nation's top producer of cranberries, and the harvest is a fall tradition at Elm Lake Cranberry Company in the town of Cranmoor near Wisconsin Rapids.
Third-generation farmers Mike and Diane Moss own the 1,600-acre operation.
In the first video above, a motorized cranberry picker runs through six inches of water to scoop the berries off the vine. The berries then float to surface.
In the second and third videos above, the bog has been flooded another foot to 18 inches deep. Crews corral the berries and a machine sucks up the fruit and deposits it into trucks waiting on the nearby shore.
