LAKE MICHIGAN - The National Weather Service has confirmed by radar that waterspouts spotted on Lake Michigan were no hoax.
At least nine waterspouts formed near each other about 45 miles east of Milwaukee Saturday.
Winds around waterspouts can reach up to 60 miles-an-hour.
The weather service says boaters should be on the alert.
