FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - New Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema has hired another assistant from his former staff at Wisconsin.
Bielema announced Tuesday that Ben Herbert has been hired as the Razorbacks' strength and conditioning coach. Herbert has spent the past 11 seasons as a strength and conditioning coach at Wisconsin.
Bielema was hired earlier this month from Wisconsin to replace John L. Smith, who coached the Arkansas last season after Bobby Petrino was fired.
Among the former assistants at Wisconsin that Bielema has hired are defensive coordinator Chris Ash, on-campus recruiting coordinator Chris Hauser and director of football operations Mark Taurisani.
