GREEN BAY - Promoters of having the girls state basketball tournament here are hoping a specific, unusual opportunity across the street will be an added attraction.
The tourney has been moved from Madison, and one thing the state capital can't offer is a Lambeau Field experience.
Thursday, some Wisconsin teams got a free tour of the stadium.
The tour included the Packers tunnel and a view from the bowl.
A sign on the field's video board welcomed the girls to Green Bay.
"We thought it would be a nice touch to help welcome everyone to town by offering just a quick look here inside Lambeau Field," said Aaron Popkey, Packers spokesman. "And we're looking forward to having some time with them today and tomorrow as part of their overall visit to Green Bay."
All teams participating in the tournament are welcome to go next door to Lambeau for the free tour.
