OSHKOSH - A national fishing tournament is coming to Lake Winnebago next year.
The Cabela’s National Walleye Tour has announced that its championship will be based in Oshkosh next September.
The tournament on Lake Winnebago follows three “regular-season” events in Trenton, Mich.; Mobridge, S.D.; and Escanaba, Mich.
Anglers must participate in all three events to qualify for the championship. The prize is a boat and cash.
Organizers say the tournament will be televised nationally.
