The Packers plan to be without wide receiver Randall Cobb until at least week 15 of the regular season.
Green Bay placed the young wide receiver on the injured reserve-designated to return list. Cobb is eligible to return to action for the game on December 15 in Dallas.
The team also placed offensive lineman Greg Van Roten on injured reserve, meaning he is out for the season.
The Packers signed wide receiver Myles White and tight end Jake Stoneburner from the practice squad. The team announced the moves in a press release on Tuesday.
Stoneburner, a 6-foot-3, 249-pound rookie out of Ohio State, signed with Green Bay as a non-drafted free agent in May 2013 and has been on the team’s practice squad for all five games this season. He totaled 53 receptions for 714 yards (13.5 avg.) and 13 TDs during his career at Ohio State. Stoneburner will wear No. 85 for the Packers.
White, a 6-foot, 182-pound rookie out of Louisiana Tech, signed with the Packers as a non-drafted free agent in May 2013 and has been on the club’s practice squad for all five games this season. He played in 22 games with eight starts during his two seasons at Louisiana Tech and totaled 86 catches for 1,132 yards (13.2 avg.) and nine TDs. White will wear No. 19 for the Packers.
