MENOMINEE COUNTY – A woman was killed in Menominee County when a tree fell on her car during the storms Wednesday night.
Menominee Indian Tribal Chairman Craig Corn tells FOX 11 the victim is Marlo King.
Authorities say King was killed when a tree fell on top of her car in Keshena. She was the only person in the vehicle.
Corn tells FOX 11 King's death is a great loss to the Menominee people.
"It was a sad night for the Menominee Nation. We lost one of our own," said Corn. "Marlo. You know, she was a good woman, good mom. Always took care of her kids. Active out in the community."
Corn says the tribe is offering its assistance to the King family.
