Firefighters work together to make the massive batch of chili, which is sold to thousands of people each year. FOX 11's Angela Kelly caught up with firefighters on Friday morning, as they prepared the chili.
This year, the Appleton Fire Department will donate 100% of its chili profits to Operation Warm - a program that provides winter jackets to kids in need.
The department's goal is to raise nearly $15,000 to provide coats for nearly 450 kids from two local elementary schools. It will also donate an extra $2,500 from its benevolence fund.

Checks can also be dropped off at Fire Station #1, located at 700 N Drew St. in Appleton.
