LEDGEVIEW – Another Brown County bridge has structural problems, according to Ledgeview town leaders.
The bridge is on CTH MM and runs over Bower Creek near the entrance to Fonferek Glen.
Authorities say a weight limit of 25 tons is being imposed and signs with the new restrictions will be placed as early as Monday.
The bridge built in 1956 will cost approximately $450,000 to $500,000 to replace. There isn't a specific date for when the work will begin.
More than 2,500 vehicles travel CTH MM daily and it’s heavily used for trucking and delivery services.
Vehicles weighing 25 tons or more are being asked to use the following detour: CTH G to CTH GV to Hwy. 172.
